Hi! My name is Heather. I’m a pediatric CICU nurse, and in 2022 I decided to join the world of travel nursing. This decision was not made lightly, and I spent many months deciding if this was the best next step for me. Choosing to leave the comfort of home, my friends, my family, and the only nursing job I’d ever known was a scary choice to make. But after much consideration I finally made the decision to leave my staff job in Little Rock, AR and begin my journey as a travel nurse.
Arkansas Children’s will always hold a special place in my heart, but the experience, knowledge, and connections I have gained through travel nursing, I wouldn’t trade for anything. This lifestyle has given me the freedom to explore the world in ways I never imagined would be possible for me.
I started this blog with the intent to share my journey as both a nurse and a traveler. Everything I share is based off of my own experiences and opinions. There is so much information out there when it comes to travel nursing and I’m am still learning new things every day. I simply hope that sharing my stories can help others in the same way that reading about other people’s experiences has helped me.
Here’s to the good, the bad, and the real of all things nursing and travel.
